Woods & Co are partnering with a well established scaffolding company that has built a strong reputation delivering to Melbourne's high end residential construction market. With a growing pipeline of luxury custom homes and boutique developments, they're now looking to bring on a commercially minded
Business Development Manager who knows scaffolding inside out and can actively drive new work into the business.
This is a hands on role suited to someone who has come from off the tools, understands site requirements, and can confidently sit across the table from builders, project managers, and site teams to win work.
There is also long term scope and growth for this role to transition into a senior leadership role in the near future.
The RoleYou'll be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities across high end residential builders and developers. Leveraging your technical scaffolding knowledge, you'll scope projects, provide practical solutions, and build long term client relationships that generate repeat work.
Key Responsibilities - Proactively source and secure new projects within the luxury residential building space
- Build and maintain strong relationships with builders, site managers, and developers
- Attend site visits, assess project requirements, and provide tailored scaffolding solutions
- Prepare quotes, negotiate pricing, and close deals
- Work closely with the Director to ensure smooth project delivery handover and delivery
- Represent the business professionally in the market and identify growth opportunities
What we're looking for - Qualified scaffolder with strong technical knowledge
- Proven ability in a sales or business development capacity (or a natural ability to transition into one)
- Existing network within Melbourne's residential construction market is highly regarded
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working autonomously
- Ability to balance technical understanding with commercial outcomes
